Mom used to hate this movie when it was on…
This movie has caused many a nightmare and made my mom cringe whenever it came on. For I was so cheering on the underdog, Charlie and was so happy when he won the factory. No matter where it was in the movie I would watch, but I knew the nightmares would come later when it gave me my first condundrum.
The story NEVER answered the one question that caused nightmares for a LOOOONG time.
“Where did Charlie go or did he float away forever? Did the Wonkavator EVER LAND?”
Oh the psych bills because of this movie.

Read “Charlie and Great Glass Elevator,” the sequel, for your answers. It’s not as good as the first classic novel, but it’s still a good read, and if you talk about nightmares, there’s some pretty scary shit in that book as well.
So your folks should have bought you Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator so you’d know the answer.
