Tragedy… and it’s not even mine.

My friend Reid is a new building owner in Indianapolis.  He is my friendly neighborhood slumlord.  I always tell him that and he laughs it off.  He’s going to fix up the apartment complex and flip it. He’s got a small list of things he needs to fix…

But then today I get this letter:

Sean, You’ll love this. I just had to share:

I got a call from the cops in Indy this afternoon asking if I was the owner of a building at Prospect St and State Ave. I said yes. They asked if I had a local property manager who could bring them keys, as they were trying to avoid kicking in the door of one of my apartments.

Apparently they were in pursuit of a suspect, who drove into my parking lot, and the cops think he’s holed up in one of my apartments. They need to go in and bring him out… And I don’t have keys.

Add to maintenance list: One door and doorframe.

Yes Reid, I would consider that Tragedy!  I’ve got an Super Uber post ready to go and it will be sent up tomorrow cuz I’m too tired tonight.  Be patient, it will be worth the wait! I think!

BTW Happy Birthday Katitude!

Have you thought of the following today?

Calling a lost friend? Smiling at a stranger? Laughing for no reason? Kicking someone you hate in the privates?
