18 players 1-18 shot of a world series of poker seat.  I’m hungry and I want to win.

Today I was able to get 18 holes of golf in for a charity golf tourney.  We finished 2 under and the winners (cheaters) finshed at 16 under.  Which is very surprising as weird the weather was.  I’m working on some things for work and then sleep.

The big boss is coming tomorrow.

Hopefully everything will just be fine.

All my best to KngofKngs aka Sed the Icon, whose mom was taken ill.  My prayers for a quick and speedy recovery are out to her.

 

Today my daughter called me and said the cutest thing.

“Daddy, you know Sunday is Father’s Day.”

“Yes Shelby, Sunday is Father’s Day.”

“I’ve got an idea Daddy.”

“What is it princess?”

“How about you buy a plane ticket and fly up here and see us because you are our daddy  and we don’t want you to spend Father’s Day all alone.”

My heart broke and a tear fell.

“Let me see what I can do Shelby.”

“I just want to give you your Father’s Day present daddy.”

I know I can’t afford to do so for Round Trip at this late juncture is between $900-1130. With the remotes that I can’t miss and the late notice, It just doesn’t work.  BUT how do I tell my daughter no.

I just said, “I don’t think I can, but I will look at flights.”

My heart broke tonight. And I know her heart will be broken Sunday.

But I still love her.

Ryan told me today how he has a BEST friend, named John.  He’s “big and he hits homeruns when we play baseball.”  Shelby tells me that he has a girlfriend. But Ryan won’t admit it.  Shelby has a boy that she “likes but I don’t think he likes me daddy.”

She’s nine and already going through teen dating drama. I knew she was advanced but SHEESH!

 

I’m getting focused. Nothing will disturb my “zen focus” as my traffic manager says.

Time to bring it home.

By the time we talk next, it will be done. Hopefully it works out for me.
