Food Poisoning / Stress
I’ve spent this morning puking my guts out. I’m exhausted and since I woke up are unable to get back asleep.

The only questions I have is when somebody (not Joanna) says that even though that they have a disagreement with you that they still love you, is it a cop out?

It is not a cop out, it is emotional blackmail. They are trying to one up you by making you feel bad about sticking to your guns.
They are telling you that this discussion is over, you will not win, and I will smear salt on the wound by loving you.
I know, I was the master manipulator.
It is an argument ender. Means they just dont want to talk about it any more.
Love is a funny thing..that’s all I have to say..Sometimes the ones that love us the most just can’t figure out how to show it. Just love them and in turn someday the love will be returned.LYMI
Sometimes the one’s who should love us the most have no clue what true love really is. It’s not selfish, hurtful, spiteful or mean. It comes with huge responsibility. Some people have no capacity for loving anyone but themselves, and this is an instant where that is very true.
Love means caring more about the loved one’s happiness and feelings than about themselves…which in this case is not what happens. You know this to be true, and were aware of it long before I was in the picture. I grew up in a family where, while we may not say it every day, we all know that the love and support is there, no matter what, unconditional.
Love is unconditional…at least it should be. You know this, you have kids, and you know what it means to love them with all your heart, no matter what their decisions.
You love your friends the same way…no matter what their choices, you support them, listen to them, make time for them, and pick them up when they fall.
You are an amazing man, and I feel sorry for the people who can’t see past their own faults and fears to realize that!!!
