Another Iraq Visitor…
Please go by and give your best wishes to Special K. He is over working on databases and secretly hunting down insurgents on his trusty transportation. But beware of sealage.
The Double Deuce…
The Air Conditioner is out in my studio. It’s hotter than hell outside BUT at least it is colder than the artic in my office. So I’m working on trying to funnel cold air from my office to the studio. Ok… can’t be done, but it was fun to do. SO I give the Double Deuce to those who deserve it who can’t get it fixed.
Okie Vegas…
There is nothing hotter, not even Wafflecerin, that can compare to the heat that will be Okie Vegas. There will be jet ski action, Skidoo falling asleep once again in the recliner and the dragging of the occasional pot. Because of work commitments this will be my ONLY foray into the Poker Blogosphere this year unless “circumstances” with a project changes my situation.
Project V …
is currently on hold on advice from my financial advisor. After talking to her about the opportunities that I have she would like me to try and finish working on Project X (The Castle) and Project Y (Which is the worst kept secret in the blogosphere
)
No Hail…
Last night there was a bunch of good rain and I am sure I bored the snot out of my friends I was talking to on Teamspeak because I had to cut on the radio to talk about severe weather. But at least Kat said to me that she was sure glad that she felt safe because I was cover weather in Lubbock and she wasn’t having the weather.
Workout…
I tweaked a muscle when I worked out last Thursday and I let it heal, but today I will be back at the gym getting ready to find a way to elminate 14.5 pounds that have been holding on for their life. I am excited because since my waist has gone down at least from a 42 to a 38 and probably smaller. However I am NOT looking at the Tale of the Tape until I get rid of these damn pounds.
KORS!
I won a token last night that I intend to use on the Monthly Championship qualifier for:

Congratulations to Poker Enthusiast and the entire Brickinthenutz team for creating a series that I am beyond excited at. You need to join in the daily token tourneys… I entered three now to watch them ALL get voided. Don’t let the RD’s (Razz Donks) down. Hell, maybe we can get Sirfwalgman to come out of Razz Retirement.
The Kids…
This fourth of July week will be the hardest for me than ever since this will be the first fourth I won’t be with the kids. It will be very bittersweet. I can see the future and being closer to them, but each day passes and I wonder if it was really meant to be. Hopefully Shelby and Ryan can miss one more holiday with out their Daddoo.
Firefox 3…
It’s official, I love Firefox 3. With the spell checkers INBEDDED in the browser, I have officially chunked IE. IE7 blows almost as much as Vista does, but nothing can suck that much. But this is from a man who was still running Windows 2000 instead of XP because I thought XP was a better paper weight than an OS. I’m still getting used to Vista’s grumpiness, like disappearing hardware, finding my cable modem and then realizing , um your cable modem doesn’t work. Then it works again. But enough about Vistas suckiness and back to Firefox 3. I originally downloaded it to compare the way the way my personal and work webpages load up. The more I played with it the more I liked it. It’s official… FIREFOX3 rules (This is NOT a paid segment)
Last nights rain…
I turned off the AC last night and opened up the windows. Most times I am too busy to just listen to it rain. But as soon as it turned from being severe, it was amazing to hear the individual drops hit the puddles of water.
I woke up listening to birds, crickets and I could feel the sunshine warm me and kick my heart in gear.
Time to go kick some ass! Have a GREAT DAY!

said a friend who called me today to complain “Why can’t you tell me?”
“Because it is in my best interest to keep it quiet”
“Oh “
I’ve done some more work on my project and I feel that it is coming closer to completion. But I am about to totally abandon Project Z. It was a good concept and I loved it for the last ten years. But the rewards of the project have approached diminishing returns and I’m not comfortable working with it.
So I might be starting a new project, which I will Project V which will take the place of Project Z.
I know, so many damn irons in the fire. But I never have a moment where I am not busy and in the end, one of these things will pan out.
At least I hope.
And for you , my friend, sorry, I’m not telling.
1st, because I don’t want to jinx it, and 2nd, because all the paperwork isn’t done.

So today I got to sleep in a bit and got a bit of stuff done before I had to go to the raceway. It’s great, not only because I get to see some great racing… but I get paid for it too.
I came back to the house and MOOOOOOOOB. No Internet.
Nothing. ZERO, NADA.
I then relax, thinking I have backup internet. So I get on and get my stuff done.
But then I pick up my phone to call my mom.
And I get nothing, nada, zip.
Call AT&T.
“It looks that there is a problem with your line. Let me connect you the nearest Technical Support Expert”
CLICK
Recall AT&T…
Go through the rigamarole again.
CLICK
Recall AT&T , Click ZERO a bunch of times.
“AT&T how can I help you.” I explain the issue.
“Hmm we seem to have a problem on the line. We’ll send someone out in the next day or two. I don’t know when but we have had problems in your area.”
Yup, and it looks like they will be losing some service from me.
Sheesh. What happened to CUSTOMER SERVICE?
But in GOOD NEWS! Actually GREAT NEWS. Cause MOM is in TROUBLE!
Down 30 POUNDS TOTAL and 13 1/2 pounds to the GOAL WEIGHT!
My old shorts that we bought for the Maui trip fell right off me on Saturday without a belt. It is the greatest thing for me, I feel better, I look better and it’s been noticed.
Off to work on the book!

I have a low incoming trust factor. I admit it, I should have been born in Missouri because my usual thought is “Show Me.” Though I needed to be told things repeatedly because my lack of trust, I need to be shown things. It all boils down to trust.
- Main Entry from the Merriam-Webster Dictionary:
2trust
Function:
verb
Date:
13th century
intransitive verb
1 a: to place confidence : depend <trust in God> <trust to luck> b: to be confident : hope2: to sell or deliver on credittransitive verb1 a: to commit or place in one’s care or keeping : entrust b: to permit to stay or go or to do something without fear or misgiving2 a: to rely on the truthfulness or accuracy of : believe <trust a rumor> b: to place confidence in : rely on <a friend you can trust> c: to hope or expect confidently <trusts that the problem will be resolved soon>
I’ve had an ongoing joke with the VP here at the office whenever one goes to McDonalds without asking the other, “How could you break the Trust?” We’d laugh about it, but sometimes I can understand that now little trusts can be broiled into bigger ones.
I’ve had people at work and my friends on the interwebs entrust me with certain facts and information as I have trusted them. But that Trust was violated and it ticked me off. I’ve got a lot riding on my projects, and I even started to obscure them for I needed to pull back what I said. It’s almost like the sec and it’s quiet period:
The federal securities laws do not define the term “quiet period,” which is also referred to as the “waiting period.” However, historically, a quiet period extended from the time a company files a registration statement with the SEC until SEC staff declared the registration statement “effective.” During that period, the federal securities laws limited what information a company and related parties can release to the public.
But I respect the SEC for the things that a quiet period can give a company. A chance to survived the viciousnes that is corporate america.
More after the jump

This week has been as stressful as it could be. I’ve been working on small projects at the office and finally have my office where it needs to be so I can rock and roll this weekend. I’ve decided to sleep in late Saturday or stay late tomorrow night to get done the things done that I normally can’t do during the day.
I’ve got a lot of great ideas that I am going to implement. It’s my stretch run and I am going to make some miracles happen.
Project Z may just be dead for now. I haven’t heard from the head cheese on the project and though it is truly disappointing it may be for the very best.
Project X may be growing by leaps and bounds. It excites me to see one of the partners see the growth that can be shown.
Project Y is awaiting the illustrator and her availability. She finally got a hold of me today and I’m going to see her Friday night or Saturday.
I haven’t talked to Shelby or Ryan in a bit and I miss em terribly. I leave them messages and I am thinking of sending a care package to them. But they are in the midst of moving to a new house with the ex and her s.o. What happens from here is just going to happen.
I fell that with Project Y going so well, that I am leading a double life. I just have to find the right partner that will take Project Y to the heights that I want to achieve with it. Over twelve years ago I had this idea and I just let it simmer and relax in my brain. I sent copies of the idea to people that I thought could help me, but they did not have the same vision as me.
Why the video…
Because when you are at your lowest…
You have to believe.
But remember, those who need to have it all usually end up with nothing. So I will be patient.

Yup, give away a mustang, go to the races and work on Project Y.
That’s what I’ve got planned.
Now if it gets done it will be a miracle!
EDIT: Mustang Given away, Project Y cancelled due to not being able to get in touch with Artist!

Nothing worse in the world then getting up before you wanted to. And no matter how hard you try you are unable to get back to sleep.
I finally got a hold of my illustrator for Project Y. Looks like we are going to meet up on Friday. I have a good feeling about this. The more I work on Project Y, the more I feel that it will be a commercially viable product.
Tonight I’m going to finish calling some people for a work project, and get ready for a party that I have to attend tomorrow.
I want you to direct your attention to the new “Frequent Commenters” box to the right. This was to recognize people who come to InstantTragedy.com and support this project with feedback.
No money was exchanged for their placement. Just my thanks for continuing the conversation.
Which brings me to my friend JL514. He’s reached the end of college portion of his life and is trying to figure out what he should do. My request? Give em a hand. But no AL and Riggs do not lead him down the path to porn.
My friend and “Non Slumlord” Reid is coming to town on Saturday/Sunday. Which means, we’ll be able to put together the computer on Sunday. NEW POWERFUL COMPUTER! BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!
The old computer will go to a certain pair of cute kids. I’m naming no names, but they better have cleaned their room and gotten 5 stars this week, thats ALL I’m saying!
I’m probably going to move the powerful computer over to the cable line (provided by work) and keep the DSL line (provided by me) for wireless usage.
More later…

This past weekend was challenging for me. I had rumors at work that I had to temper and dealing with the parents going on a cruise. Oh how I want to be going with them.
But everything is coming down to a BUSY week this week for me.
I wanted to go to Weekend at Mookies with some of the blogger brethren BUT I am covering the Grand Prize giveaway that I have to do for work so Fri/Sat is out. Sun doesn’t make sense to go or I’d be there.
So as I was saying…

Yup, just 19 lbs from the goal.
I am feeling better, I bounce back from things like my ankle faster.
I am determined.
19 more to go.
It may take a bit longer to get to them, but I can tell I am changing. Someone today asked me if I was getting taller?
I just smiled and said no.
It just happens when you aren’t slumping in self doubt.
Special thanks to Kat today. Your call was right when I needed it. Your friendship is just what I need. I’ll see you in Okie-Vegas my friend.
As for last night, the two scourges of my life have found out that I am mad and have done the smart thing. LEAVE ME ALONE.
I am feeling so good about the things I am getting accomplished.
Next step, to finish Project X and have a meeting with the artist who will be working on the graphics for Project Y.
