I made a stealth trip to Ft. Worth to see my mom and dad.
Dad knew about the trip.
Mom thought I canceled.
Not a single tragedy at all.
I talked some poker strategy and what I needed to accomplish to make the Okie-Vegas trip a success.
My goals are set.
I probably will play a little poker to get the rough spots off and NO Riggstad I won’t play high limit omahadraw anymore.
Time to play back where and how it got me to increase the bankroll 100%.
Tight, ABC Poker.
A trip report will be due once I return from Okie Vegas.
Also I talked to Reid (Webmaster Extraordinaire) and we will start the move to a wordpress platform soon.
We may have some OOPS on the way.
But thought you’d like to know!
On our way to Orlando for the convention we kept running into people we knew. It was almost fortune smiling down upon us.
First I ran into Amanda. We didn’t say a word. All she did was smile.
Then I ran into Russell Hall. He made me sick by telling me about his trip to Italy.
We got on the plane and all of the sudden I felt sleepy. (Since I couldn’t sleep all night and only fell asleep at 2:30 waking up at 5:15) So I closed my eyes and I felt someone pop me in the head with a finger.
It was my old boss Scott Harris. He was heading up to see Texas Tech play in the Big 12 tournament. We talked and it felt like a load was lifted off me.
I fell asleep, got breakfast at the Dallas-Ft. Worth Airport and met a bunch of friends from Abilene and San Angelo on the plane. We talked and we got to Orlando in no time with me crashing on the plane once again.
I really don’t mind flying, but I have a self defense mechanism that I sleep while I am flying unless someone is actively talking to me.
We got to Orlando and this year did NOT get the limo driver who in previous years had tried to kill us with his insane driving. Our New driver this year Angel (Pronounced An Hell) laughed with me and the crew as I set up jokes that Jay hit punchline after punchline that left Abner confused.
We got to the hotel and checked in.
But what would a trip be with Sean, if you didn’t have a little Tragedy?
“Your rooms will be ready in about 30-45 min. About 3 o’clock Mr Donahue.”
“Ok, I’ll call you at 3:00 to check up on it.”
3:00 – Rooms not ready.

4:17 – Runner tries original card in door : DENIED!
4:18 – Runner pulls MYSTICAL NEW CARD : ACCESS GRANTED!
4:19 – Sean thanks runner, gets into the room and collapses on bed exhausted
4:23 – Realizes that he has to be ready for the awards presentation at 5:15 gets up and gets ready.
6:30 – I run into the people I needs to run into and make my offer. More discussions tommorrow
We headed to the awards ceremony and it was OUTSTANDING! We were nominated for best Memorial Montage. (One of ME talking about Tara and why I do what I do, that I ABSOLUTELY HATE). We lost. I was going to ask for a recount but decided against it. Drank free drink provided by the foundation.
We took a bunch of pictures on the stage and then left to kareoke and dance. I spent the time networking.
Came back to type up this and crash.
I feel incredible.

Yup, I’m on my way.
Heading to see Dad.
I’ve got a lot to talk to you about and I’ll do it from my undisclosed location.
Mom wants me to come next weekend since Dad had a bad morning and is in one of his “Sick Moods”
I tried to talk to him , but he was asleep when I called.
Soooo I have a plane ticket for next weekend.
Spending the entire weekend with Dad, so Mom can have a break.
Today was a day of signs for me.
Some were easy, like STOP : stopping myself from calling the ex
Caution: Being patient with a friend who I’d like to get to know better but she is still dealing with the death of her dad.
GO: I did things for me tonight.
