Anytime a phone call from my daughter starts with…
“Daddy… I don’t want you to get mad but I have to tell you something.”
I worry.
“Daddy, you know mommy has a new boyfriend and he is moving in with us, him and lizabeth. Would you be mad because I called him daddy today cause I miss you and he’s like my daddy now but not really because he’s here and you’re in Texas”
My response…
“Oh”
I asked her please just call him Brandon for now.
and I’m going to have to do some heavy thinking this weekend.
“Daddy”
